William & Mary President Katherine A. Rowe announced Nov. 5 that the university will reset a review process to determine long-term sustainability for W&M Athletics. As part of that new process, the university will reinstate all W&M Athletics programs through at least 2021-22 pending a gender equity review and the completion of a long-term financial plan.

A Shared Path Forward for W&M Athletics: Framing the Problem to Pursue Solutions
Interim Director of Athletics
Jeremy P. Martin addressed the challenges facing the department as well as outlined next steps for the community to define excellence in intercollegiate athletics at William & Mary.
Given the leadership transition on Oct. 6 and Interim Director Martin's new role, the format for the first session was adjusted to include an introduction to the Interim AD, addressing the issues around long-term sustainability for W&M Athletics, and answering questions we've received while framing new ones for the community. While the first session did not include a moderated discussion, future sessions in the coming weeks will include additional W&M voices and moderated Q&A.
