Women's Soccer Suffers Setback at Old Dominion

NORFOLK, Va. - The William & Mary women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision at Old Dominion on Sunday evening at the ODU Soccer Complex in Norfolk.

The Monarchs (6-0-1) jumped on the board first and tallied twice in the first half. Emma Gervase found Emily Roberts, who set up Amanda Nhek for ODU's first goal. Just before halftime, Old Dominion doubled its lead as Ece Turkoglu set Kyra Ricks free, and Ricks placed her shot in the back of the net.

With W&M pushing forward looking to get on the board, ODU added a trio of late goals in the second half. Morgan Hall (77th minute), Emily Roberts (85th), and Blair Vilov (90th minute) all scored for the Monarchs.

The Tribe (2-5-1) placed three shots on frame in the contest, but was shutout for just the second time this season. Juniors Courtney Miles (two) and Colleen Norton had the on-target shots for W&M.
