The William & Mary men's swim team added three more personal-bests on Friday night at the Janis Hape Dowd Nike Invitational, and four top-five finishes.
- In the 500 free,
James Mostofi (Darien, Conn.) swam a lifetime-best 4:33.35 to finish fifth overall, and cut more than 1.3 seconds off his previous best.
- Next up was the 200 IM, where freshman
Ryan Bebel (Westfield, N.J.) shaved even more time off his personal-best he set this morning, improving to 1:52.12 for second place overall. His classmate
Ian Cobb (Vienna, Va.) was eighth overall, touching the wall in 1:57.51.
- Senior
Ramzy Ali (Thalwil, Switzerland) added a silver medal of his own in the 50 free, stopping the clock in 21 seconds flat for second overall. Sophomore
Aristides Speres (Rye, N.Y.) swam 21.08, taking fifth overall.
- Freshman
Jack Galbraith (Vienna, Va.) time-trialed the 100 back, and responded with a lifetime-best 49.83. That also boosted the rookie up to 12th all-time in the event at W&M.
The Nike Invitational continues Saturday with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. at Duke's Taishoff Pavilion.
