Tribe Men Add Three More PB Friday Night at Nike Invite

The William & Mary men's swim team added three more personal-bests on Friday night at the Janis Hape Dowd Nike Invitational, and four top-five finishes.

- In the 500 free, James Mostofi (Darien, Conn.) swam a lifetime-best 4:33.35 to finish fifth overall, and cut more than 1.3 seconds off his previous best.

- Next up was the 200 IM, where freshman Ryan Bebel (Westfield, N.J.) shaved even more time off his personal-best he set this morning, improving to 1:52.12 for second place overall.  His classmate Ian Cobb (Vienna, Va.) was eighth overall, touching the wall in 1:57.51.

- Senior Ramzy Ali (Thalwil, Switzerland) added a silver medal of his own in the 50 free, stopping the clock in 21 seconds flat for second overall.  Sophomore Aristides Speres (Rye, N.Y.) swam 21.08, taking fifth overall.

- Freshman Jack Galbraith (Vienna, Va.) time-trialed the 100 back, and responded with a lifetime-best 49.83.  That also boosted the rookie up to 12th all-time in the event at W&M.

The Nike Invitational continues Saturday with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. at Duke's Taishoff Pavilion.
