W&M Football Announces 2020 Schedule

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.—William & Mary Director of Athletics Samantha K. Huge has announced the release of the Tribe's 2020 football schedule, which is highlighted by five home games at Zable Stadium and a season-opening trip to Stanford.

The Tribe's challenging slate will begin with three non-conference games, two of which will be on the road. W&M's season opener at Stanford on Sept. 5 will mark the Tribe's first game on the West Coast in the program's 127-year history.

W&M will conclude its non-conference schedule with a pair of games against Patriot League opponents. The Tribe will host Colgate for its home opener at Zable Stadium on Sept. 12 before traveling to Lafayette the following weekend (Sept. 19).

A home matchup against Elon on Sept. 26 (Family Weekend) will open the Tribe's Colonial Athletic Association slate before its first league road game at James Madison on Oct. 3.

Following an open date, The Tribe will resume its CAA slate when it hosts UAlbany for Homecoming on Oct. 17.

W&M will conclude the month of October with contests against two opponents it has not played since 2017, as it will travel to Delaware (Oct. 24) and host Stony Brook (Oct. 31).

Road games at New Hampshire (Nov. 7) and Rhode Island (Nov. 14) will come before W&M wraps up its regular season slate against Richmond at Zable Stadium on Nov. 21. W&M and UR will compete for the Capital Cup in what will mark the 131st meeting between the two programs.

Kickoff times will be announced at a later date.
