WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Having made a tremendous impact on and off the field, William & Mary standout defensive lineman Davin Dzidzienyo was selected as a nominee for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
 
Dzidzienyo is among a distinguished group of 162 student-athletes who will be considered for one of college football's premier honors that recognizes excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community.
 
The Good Works Team will be announced in September and will feature 22 student-athletes – 11 (FBS), 11 (FCS, DII, DIII, NAIA) – and one head coach. All members are selected by a voting panel of former Allstate AFCA Good Works Team members, current and former head coaches and journalists.
 
A two-time team captain, Dzidzienyo enters his final season leading W&M as one of the country's top defensive linemen. Although he missed the majority of the 2025 campaign due to injury, he entered his senior season as a preseason first-team all-conference honoree. As a junior in 2024, he earned All-CAA distinction after starting all 12 games and finished the season with 50 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 5.5 TFL, a forced fumble, fumble recovery and two pass breakups.
 
In addition to his exceptional play on the field, Dzidzienyo has made a tremendous impact in the local community. Dzidzienyo volunteered in various capacities at multiple local elementary schools, including the Reading Across America program and as a mentor/tutor. Additionally, he has volunteered with a local food bank, the Tim Tebow Foundation Night to Shine event, NMDP (formerly Be The Match) and youth football teams in the Williamsburg and Washington, D.C. area.
 
A CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll honoree, Dzidzienyo earned his undergraduate degree in sociology and is currently pursuing a master's degree in marketing.

The 2026 campaign will mark the beginning of a new era in W&M's storied history, as the Tribe embarks upon its inaugural season in the Patriot League and will square off against all nine league opponents. Five of those conference matchups will be played in Williamsburg.
