TOWSON, Md. – Four players scored in double-figures as the William & Mary women's basketball team handed Towson its first home loss of the season with an 80-69 victory on Sunday afternoon at SECU Arena. With the win, the Green and Gold improve to 11-7, 4-3 in Colonial Athletic Association play, while the Tigers drop to 11-7, 5-2 in league action.

Eva Hodgson each had baskets to give the Tribe the lead. After a Towson bucket, freshman
Emma Krause hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Tribe a 54-49 cushion with 1:33 left in the third quarter. Towson trimmed the lead to two, but Reynolds put back a lay-up and Krause canned another 3-pointer to make it 59-52 at the end of three.
The Tigers cut the lead to as little of three early in the fourth quarter but with the Tribe up 69-65, the Green and Gold scored six unanswered points to put its lead in double-figures for the first time all game. Reynolds opened the run with a lay-up, and then Pollard, Hodgson, and senior

Trailing by five, Towson used a 9-0 run to take its first lead of the game midway through the opening quarter. Ryan Holder started the run with a lay-up, before Janeen Camp hit a lay-up. Danielle Durjan completed a traditional 3-point play to give the Tigers the lead, and the run continued with two free throws from Nukiya Mayo making 13-9 with 4:22 left in the first quarter.
Late in the second quarter, W&M used a quick 4-0 run to match its largest lead of the first half. Hodgson knocked down a pair of free throws before Krause beat everyone down the floor for an easy bucket to make it 34-29 with 2:09 left in the half. The Tribe and Tigers exchanged baskets and W&M took a 36-32 lead into the locker room.

Senior
Bianca Boggs led all scorers with a game-high 22 points and added seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Both freshmen
Eva Hodgson and Emma Krause finished with 13 points apiece. Hodgson added six rebounds, five assists, and a block, while Krause added four boards and a theft. Junior

Nukiya Mayo led Towson with 21 points and nine rebounds and was one of three Tigers in double-figures. Q. Murray finished with 18 points and four rebounds, while Maia Lee had 10 points and five boards. The CAA's leading scorer Kionna Jeter was limited to just two points.
Inside the Numbers
- The Tribe shot 45-percent (27-for-60) from the floor in the victory. The Tribe is 4-1 this year when it shoots 45-percent, or better.
- W&M limited Towson to just two 3-point makes and held the Tigers to 12.5-percent (2-of-16) from range.
- W&M won the rebounding battle 40-38 and it was just the third time this year, W&M has won the battle on the glass.
