WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (July 26, 2018) - William & Mary football will be well represented when NFL teams open training camp this week, as seven former Tribe standouts are currently on active rosters.

The impressive list of players includes:
Chris Durant (Los Angeles Chargers),
Connor Hilland (Miami Dolphins), DeAndre Houston-Carson (Chicago Bears), Tre McBride (New York Jets), Luke Rhodes (Indianapolis Colts), Jerry Ugokwe (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and B.W. Webb (New York Giants).
In addition to the current group of former W&M players in the league, seven other Tribe standouts have been on NFL regular-season rosters in recent years: Sean Lissemore (Chargers, Cowboys), Jonathan Grimes (Texans, Jets, Jaguars), Derek Cox (Chargers, Jaguars), Mike Leach (Cardinals, Broncos), Jerome Couplin III (Eagles, Bills, Lions), Adrian Tracy (Giants) and David Caldwell (Colts). Tracy and Couplin are currently playing professionally in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Additionally, a number of other former Tribe standouts have earned training camp roster spots with NFL teams in recent years, including: R.J. Archer (Vikings, Lions, Seahawks), Jasper Coleman (Texans), Alex Gottlieb (Cardinals, Lions) and Mike Reilly (Steelers, Cardinals, Browns), while many others have earned rookie minicamp invites.

The long list of former W&M players currently coaching in the NFL includes: Mike Tomlin (Steelers, head coach), Sean McDermott (Bills, head coach), Ivan Fears (Patriots, assistant), Alan Williams (Colts, assistant), Mark Duffner (Buccaneers, assistant), Rip Scherer (Chargers, assistant), Robert Livingston (Bengals, assistant) and
Joe Brady (Saints). Additionally, two former Tribe quarterbacks, Mike Potts (Bengals, Scouting Director) and Brent Caprio (Redskins, scout), work in player personnel.

W&M will continue preparation for the 2018 season when it reports on Aug. 5, while it will kick off the 2018 season at Bucknell on Sept. 1.
