BRAINE, Belgium – Former William & Mary women's basketball standout
Abby Rendle has inked a professional contract to continue her playing career in Europe. The 6-4 center, signed on to play with Royal Castors Braine that compete in Belgium's Division I Women's League and in the Euroleague.

Rendle wrapped up her playing career as she was tabbed to the Third-Team All-CAA and to the CAA All-Defensive squad. She finished the season by averaging 12.1 points (362), 7.8 rebounds (234), and 4.3 blocks (128) per game. Her 128 blocks led the country, while her 4.3 bpg., and were second in the nation. She scored in double-figures on 20 different occasions, had seven double-doubles, and a triple-double. She was tabbed CAA Player of the Week three times for the weeks of Nov. 27, Dec. 18, and Jan. 1.
For her career, she holds or shares every W&M and CAA block record, including 350 career blocks, 128 single-season blocks, and 11 blocks in a game. Rendle finished her career first in school history in blocked shots (350) and blocked shot average (3.2), fifth in field goal percentage (.499), 12th in field goals made (477), 13th in rebounds (661), 14th in rebounding average (6.1), 16th in points (1103), and recorded the only three triple-doubles in school history. Rendle is also apart of the winningest senior class in school history, and helped the Tribe to the first Division I postseason tournament, the WBI, in her freshman season.
The Reston, Va. native becomes the fifth Tribe women's basketball player to continue their playing careers since Swanson's arrival prior to the 2013-14 basketball season. She joins

Jazmen Boone '15,
Mackenzie Morrison '15, and
Alexandra Masaquel '17 to move onto to pro basketball.
