FARMVILLE, Va. – Junior
Antonio Bustamante finally broke through for the William & Mary men's soccer team in the 98th minute to propel the Tribe to a 1-0 overtime victory at in-state foe Longwood on Wednesday. Bustamante scored in his third-straight game for the Green and Gold, cashing in W&M's 21st shot of the contest. The Tribe (4-2-2) also posted its second-straight shutout against a Big South opponent.

William Eskay broke free in the midfield and raced down the middle of the pitch into the attacking third. He fed into the penalty area for Bustamante, who beat Longwood (0-5-1) goalkeeper Lance Da Silva with a low shot to the near post from 10 yards out.
The Tribe controlled the contest from the outset, but had difficulty finding the back of the next. W&M outshot the Lancers, 11-1, in the opening half, and 20-2 in regulation. The Tribe nearly found the game's first goal midway through the first half. In the 21st minute, Eskay laid off a pass to a rushing junior
Ryder Bell into the left side of the 18-yard box. His shot from 15 yards out beat the Longwood goalkeeper to the near post, but clanged off the woodwork.
W&M nearly capitalized with pressure in the 44th minute. The Tribe forced a turnover and quickly countered with Bustamante leading sophomore
Julian Ngoh on a break chance. Da Silva came off his line to cut off the angle and blocked Ngoh's chance wide. The Longwood goalkeeper made another huge save in the 64th minute, denying a Bustamante shot from 20 yards out with a diving stop to his left.
