WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men's soccer team scored once in each half and controlled play from the outset in topping Campbell, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Martin Family Stadium. Junior
Graham Guidry scored his first collegiate goal with just 10 minutes remaining in the first half, before classmate
Antonio Bustamante converted a second-half penalty kick to help the Tribe (3-2-2) snap the Camels' (4-2-1) five-match unbeaten streak.
Guidry entered the game in the 33rd minute and immediately paid dividends for the home side. Junior
Ryder Bell fed Guidry into space on the right side of midfield in the attacking third. The redshirt junior reserve took a pair of touches into the penalty area, before catching Campbell goalkeeper Matthew Mozynski leaning the wrong way with a strike inside the near post.
Sophomore reserve
Julian Ngoh drew the Tribe's penalty in the 72nd minute. Bell gained spaced down the right side into the area and sent a dangerous cross to the penalty spot. Ngoh attempting to run onto the pass was tripped up from behind by a Campbell defender resulting in the PK. Bustamante stepped to the spot and calmly converted to double the Tribe lead.
