Abby Rendle recorded her third career triple with career-highs of 25 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 blocks as the William & Mary women's basketball team gutted out a 71-65 overtime road victory at East Carolina on Tuesday night. With the win, the Tribe improves to 3-1, while the Pirates drop to 1-3.

Bianca Boggs added two more from the stripe. After a Pirates free throw, Rendle knocked down two from the stripe. Green split a pair of free throws, before Reynolds added two more from line to lift W&M to a 71-65 victory.
East Carolina used a 7-2 run to force overtime late in the fourth quarter. Mickayla Sanders opened the run with a triple, but Rendle added a pair from the stripe to extend the Tribe lead to four. Raven Johnson and Dominique Claytor each had lay-ups to tie the score with 33 seconds left. Both teams had chances to win in regulation, but neither scored and the game went to overtime.
Down by eight early in the first quarter, W&M used an 11-0 run to take its only lead of the first half. Rendle opened the run with a pair of free throws, before Boggs added a lay-up and a free throw. Green capped off the rally with a 3-pointer and traditional three-point play to put the Tribe up 13-10.
East Carolina closed the first quarter with an 11-0 run to restore its eight-point lead. Ariyana Williams scored eight straight points to put the Pirates up by five. The run continued has Alex Frasier and Lashonda Monk added the final three points of the quarter. The Pirates extended its lead to eight points again midway through the second quarter, but the Tribe responded to make the score 28-25 at the halftime.

Raven Johnson paced East Carolina with 12 points and seven rebounds. Ariyana Williams added 11 points off of the bench, while Dominique Claytor and Thais Oliveria added 10 points apiece. Claytor recorded a double-double as she grabbed 10 boards.
Inside the Numbers
- W&M shot just 23-of-42 (54.8-percent) from the free throw line for the game, but knocked down 10-of-12 from the stripe in the overtime period.
