HARRISONBURG, Va. (April 2, 2016)—The William & Mary lacrosse team suffered a 17-4 setback at James Madison in both teams' conference opener on Saturday afternoon.
The loss snapped the Tribe's (6-5, 0-1) three-game winning streak, while it ended a two-game skid for the Dukes (5-7, 1-0).

Abby Junior and freshman
Eloise Gagnon also found the back of the cage. In addition to her goal, Junior's stat line also included a team-high three draw controls, three ground balls and a caused turnover.
W&M held a 12-10 edge in draw controls, but was outshot by the Dukes, 24-9, and had four fewer ground balls (14-10).
The Tribe was outscored by just one goal in the second half (5-4) and closed the game with three unanswered scores but was unable to overcome a 12-0 halftime deficit.
Betsy Angel led JMU with eight points (4g, 4a).
The Tribe will return to action when it hosts Hofstra and Drexel for a pair of conference matchups next weekend.
