Scouting the Tribe
W&M is 3-2 on the year, after defeating West Virginia last week as part of the Virginia Tech quad meet. The Tribe is led in scoring by senior
Joe Eiden (White Plains, N.Y.), who has 111.75 points and seven wins, as well as by freshman
Ben Skopic (Marriottsville, Md.), who has a team-best eight wins to go with 91 points. As a team, the Green and Gold leads the CAA in nine of 14 individual events. Eiden leads the three sprint freestyles, while reigning CAA Swimmer of the Week and freshman
Chris Balbo (Short Hills, N.J.) leads in both events where he set Tribe dual-meet records last week, the 500 free and the 1650 free.
Also atop the league table is Skopic, who has the best times of any swimmer in the 200 and 400 IM, as well as sophomore
Carter Kale (Williamsburg, Va.) in the 1,000 free, where he set the Tribe dual-meet record against Georgetown. Rounding out the leaders is senior
Wyatt Grubb (Mechanicsville, Va.), who leads all swimmers in the 100 back.
Scouting the Tigers
Towson is 1-2 overall with a win over Georgetown, and losses to UMBC and Penn State. The Tigers are led by senior Jack Saunderson, the CAA record-holder in the 200 fly who currently leads the league in both the 100 fly and the 200 fly.
