Kaitlyn Mathieu Continuing Pro Career In Denmark

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Former William & Mary women's basketball standout Kaitlyn Mathieu '14 inked a contract to continue her professional career with Lemvig in Denmark.

Mathieu played this past season for TK Hannover in Germany.  She finished her first professional season playing in 19 games. She averaged 3.1 points, and 2.6 rebounds in just over nine minutes a night. She shot 38.7-percent (24-of-62) from the floor, while knocking down 40-percent (2-for-5) from 3-point range.

The Waterboro, Maine native finished her career playing in 115 games with 39 starts for the Green and Gold. She recorded 833 points (7.2 ppg), 536 rebounds (4.7 rpg), 63 blocks, 90 steals, and 82 assists. She currently ranks eighth in blocked shots (63) and tied for eighth in games played (115).

As a senior, she was the only Tribe player to start every game. She finished the year with 369 points (12.7 ppg) and 230 rebounds (7.9 rpg). Mathieu added 34 assist, 29 blocks, and 33 steals. For her effort, Mathieu was named Third-Team All-Colonial Athletic Association.
