The William and Mary volleyball team brought its season to a close Friday night, falling to Hofstra in the CAA Quarterfinals, 3-0.  The Tribe finished the year at 13-14, while the Pride improved to 19-13 overall.

Julia Swalchick (Melbourne, Fla.) led the way for the College, scoring eight kills on a .350 attack and also helping out on a pair of blocks.  Redshirt-sophomore 
Paulette Grand Pre (Laguna Beach, Calif.) scored five kills and seven digs, and freshman 
Carolyn Albright (Raleigh, N.C.) matched Swalchick with two more blocks.  On defense, junior 
Celine Alasomuka (Centreville, Va.) had seven digs and a service ace, while freshman 
Olivia Jebb (Cornwall, N.Y.) and sophomore 
Carolina Rivas (Orlando, Fla.) provided five digs each.
Friday also marked the final match for the Tribe's two seniors.  Captain 
Molly Krull (Raleigh, N.C.) dished out 16 assists and had a team-best eight digs, and also served out three aces.  She finishes her Green and Gold career ranked 12th in school history with 1,019 career assists, and 13th in assists per set at 4.43.  Middle-blocker 
Shaylin O'Connell (Leesburg, Va.) had three kills and a block against Hofstra, raising her career total to 519.5 points, 16th-best in school history.  She also ranks 16th all-time at W&M with 0.87 blocks per set in her career.
