RICHMOND, Va. - Former William and Mary lacrosse standouts Lisa Dixon '97 and Amy Giello '96 have been selected to the Colonial Athletic Association Silver Anniversary Team.
One of the top players in history of the Tribe program, Dixon earned first-team All-America honors as a senior and was chosen as the 2007 National Goalkeeper of the Year. The Baltimore, Md., native also garnered All-CAA honors twice and currently ranks fourth at the College in career goals against average (6.33) and save percentage (.612).
During her career, Dixon helped W&M compile a 43-23 record overall and a 22-4 mark conference play en route to earning three NCAA Tournament bids.
Giello also established herself as one of the nation's top players during her time at the College, as she earned All-America honors three times, including a first-team selection in 1996. The Medford Lakes, N.J., native was a three-time all-league selection and was also a member of the U.S. National Team from 1994-96.
In addition to helping the Tribe earn pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, Giello led W&M to a 44-23 record overall and a 20-5 mark in league action during her standout career.
