FAIRFAX, VA - Senior
Eric Druker (Wildwood, MO) repeated as the conference champion in the 100 fly as William and Mary men's swimming and diving competed on the third day of the CAA Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by George Mason. Defending CAA Champion UNC-Wilmington holds a seven-point edge over second-place George Mason (428-421) while the Tribe has moved to sixth with 230 points.
Druker led a strong showing for the team by winning the 100 fly title for the second-straight season. Only the No. 3 seed after the prelims (with a 50.92), Druker tapped his reserves for the championship finals, clocking a 50.46 for the gold medal, some fifteen-hundredths of a second better than the runner-up time. W&M also saw its 200 free relay claim the silver medal as sophomore

Jake Albright (Carlisle, PA) and Druker combined to clock a season-fast 1:24.04 for runner-up honors. Junior
Jeff Clark (Virginia Beach, VA) also medaled on the evening, claiming the bronze in the 100 breast with a personal record 58.07 in the championship finals, the third-best time in Tribe history.
The Tribe saw a number of swimmers advance into the finals on the day, including Duda who clocked a 1:42.69 in the 200 free to race his way into the championship finals. There, he touched the wall in 1:42.37, ranked sixth in the Tribe all-time performers list, to claim sixth in the event. Albright also reached the championship finals on the evening, advancing from prelims in the 100 back with a 52.18, improving on his own fourth-best time in school history. Albright claimed seventh in the championship finals of the event with a 52.53. Junior
Matt Wolff (Annandale, VA) qualified for the consolation race of the 100 back after a 54.10 in prelims and finished 12th overall by swimming a 53.20 in the finals, improving his own seventh-best time in school history. In the 400 IM freshman
Alex Jendzejec (Reston, VA) impressed by racing in the consolation finals and placing 13th overall with a 4:11.35, jumping to sixth in the Tribe record books. In the 100 fly, junior
Tony Wareck (Lancaster, MA) advanced to the consolation race to finish 12th overall, clocking a 52.02, the 10th best time in school history, in the finals. Junior
Evan Elsaesser (Reston, VA) also competed in the race, clocking a 52.31 for 16th overall. Sophomore
Andrew Carberry (Talbott, TN) clocked a personal record 1:00.14 to advance to the consolation race of the 100 breast, where he timed a 1:00.60 to place 14th overall.
