One of the finest baseball facilities in the region, Plumeri Park has been home to the William & Mary baseball program since 1999. The facility was constructed in large part due to the generous donation by Mr. Joseph J. Plumeri II in the autumn of 1996. It is named in honor of Joseph's father, Samuel J. Plumeri, Sr.

The 1,000-seat lighted facility features a grandstand, team locker rooms, press box, concession space and scoreboard. Additionally, the Plumeri Park Practice Facility was dedicated during the 2016 season.

The indoor facility overlooks the field, running up the third base line, and provides the program with more than 5,700 square feet of crucial "all-weather" practice space. With wall-to-wall artificial turf, there are three 15 feet by 75 feet areas for batting and pitching, complete with netting and pitching mounds. Additionally, there are areas for specialized training equipment for strength, speed, agility and skills development.

Other recent improvements to the facility include the addition of a 10-foot artificial turf halo behind the home plate area, bi-level wooden benches in the dugouts, natural grass base lines on each foul line and stadium padding on the backstop and outfield wall.

Plumeri Park is a baseball-only facility, and its primary use is by the Tribe program. However, each year the park hosts several high school showcase tournaments.

The facility complements the architectural style of other W&M buildings and was publicly dedicated on Saturday, March 20, 1999 when the Tribe hosted Penn State. W&M opened its new home with a victory, defeating the Nittany Lions, 16-10.

A graduate of the Class of 1966, Joseph Plumeri has been a devoted alumnus of the College for many years. Joseph is a former member of the Board of Visitors (2000-2008), an Emeritus trustee of the William & Mary Foundation Board (served 1984-1990), and has served on the Raymond A. Mason School of Business Foundation (1998-2008) and Advisory Boards (2000-2004). He served on the Athletic Campaign Committee (2001-2002) and on the National Campaign Steering Committee (2002-2007). He was W&M's Homecoming Grand Marshal in 2006 and received the T.C. and Elizabeth Clarke School of Business Medallion in 2003 and the Alumni Medallion in 1996. In 2011, Plumeri was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Public Service. He is a member of the James Blair Society, the Sir Robert Boyle Legacy Society and is a Lifetime Member of the President’s Council.

Joe currently serves as vice chairman of the First Data Board of Directors. He was the chairman and CEO of Willis Group Holdings until July 2013. For the first 32 years of his career, Joe was an executive with Citigroup and its predecessors. He is also co-owner of the Trenton Thunder, which was a Double A organization from 1994-2020 adn currently is a collegiate summer team in the MLB Draft League, and the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, the Single A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.

In 2008, Joe pledged $2 million to establish the Plumeri Awards for Faculty Excellence, with plans to give $200K annually during a 10-year period. The Plumeri Awards provide 20 faculty members with $10K for research opportunities, summer salaries, or other stipends associated with scholarly endeavors. The first awards were presented during the 2009-2010 academic year and will continue through 2019-2020. Joe has established a number of endowments at the College including the Joseph J. Plumeri Business Scholarship and the Joseph J. Plumeri Endowment Fund for baseball scholarships. His generous donations have also established Plumeri Park (the Tribe’s first class baseball facility), Plumeri Park Practice Facility and the Plumeri House. In the past, he also sponsored the Plumeri William & Mary Pro-Am, a golf tournament that raised well over $2 million in financial support for W&M's Olympic sports programs.

While an undergraduate, Joe was active in athletics as a member of both the Tribe football and baseball teams.

Joe and his wife, Susan Edgerton Plumeri, reside in New York, NY. He is the father of three children: Christian (now deceased), Jay, and Leslie.

From the North/West: Take I-64 East to Lightfoot Exit 234 (Route 199 East). At top of exit ramp, take a right onto Route 199 East. Stay on 199 East until the Longhill Road exit. Exit at Longhill Road. At the top of the exit ramp, take a left at the light onto Longhill Road. Continue straight through another stoplight, then bear to the right as Longhill Road becomes Longhill Connector Road. At the next stoplight (in front of Eastern State Hospital), take a left onto Ironbound Road. Plumeri Park is on the left; the entrance will be the first driveway on the left.

From the South/East: Take I-64 West to Exit 242A (Route 199 West). Follow 199 through five stoplights. After the fifth light, take the next exit, Monticello Avenue. Bear right on the exit ramp and merge onto Monticello Avenue. At the fifth stoplight, take a left onto Ironbound Road. At the second stoplight, take a right, staying on Ironbound. Plumeri Park will be on your left; the entrance is the first driveway on the left.
