Julie Gardner enters her first
season on the William and Mary coaching staff.
A 2012 graduate of the University
of Virginia, Gardner was a two-time All-American and helped the Cavaliers earn
NCAA Tournament bids all four years. A team captain, she garnered IWLCA
All-South Region distinction twice and earned All-ACC honors during her final
two season. Additionally, she was chosen to the Tewaaraton Watch List in both 2011
and 2012.
Although Gardner will be
instrumental in all aspects of the Tribe program, her primary responsibilities
will include recruiting, travel
coordination, social media, alumni relations, practice and game day coaching.

an amazing player throughout her collegiate career, she has been an advocate
for the sport and has been instrumental in the development of many young players
seeking to play at the next level. Julie brings much more than her experience
on the field, she is vibrant and has a contagious personality that instills
confidence in her players and their desire to achieve success. We are fortunate
to have her as part of our Tribe family."
In addition to her outstanding
collegiate playing career, Gardner served as a coach for the SPLAX club team in
Severna Park, Md., for five years. Additionally, she coached a high school team
at the 2012 Brine Lacrosse Classic.
A native of Severna Park, Md.,
Gardner earned a degree in sociology from Virginia.
