Trevor Rich serves as Associate Director of Media Relations at William & Mary, where he is the primary communications contact for men’s and women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s tennis. In this role, he oversees media relations, game notes, statistical coverage, digital content and storytelling efforts for those programs while supporting the department’s overall communications strategy.
Rich arrives in Williamsburg after serving as an athletics communications assistant at Missouri Baptist University, where he was the primary contact for football, men’s basketball, baseball, men’s and women’s tennis, and men's lacrosse. He directed media relations, game coverage, and digital strategy while producing game notes, recaps and feature content across multiple programs.
Before joining MBU, Rich worked in athletic communications at Brigham Young University, serving as the primary communications contact for women’s tennis while contributing to department-wide media efforts. He helped launch the program’s first ESPN+ broadcast and played a key role in revamping the team’s social media strategy, resulting in significant audience growth and engagement.
Rich also gained professional sports experience with the St. Louis Blues as a game presentation intern during the 2024–25 season, assisting with in-game entertainment operations and script preparation. He was nominated for the organization’s IDEA Inspire the Passion Award, recognizing individuals who exemplify the club’s values and commitment to inclusion.
In March 2025, Rich joined the St. Louis Cardinals as a communications game day associate, supporting media operations by coordinating credentials, assisting press box operations, contributing to game notes, and helping manage VIP and guest services at Busch Stadium. He also contributed to the club’s daily Minor League reports and milestone tracking.
Rich earned his bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations from BYU in 2024 and is completing his master’s degree in sport management at MBU.
