Sam Johnson

Sam joined the Tribe Sports Medicine Staff in the summer of 2017.  Prior to arrival at William & Mary he received his B.S. in Athletic Training from Grand Valley State University in 2014, and his M.S. in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University in 2016. The summer before graduate school, Sam did an internship with the Mississippi State University football program.

During his time at Georgia Southern University he was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the men's basketball, women's rifle and women's volleyball programs.

After receiving his master's degree, Sam completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan. During this fellowship, he was the Athletic Trainer for the women's varsity and novice rowing programs.

At William & Mary, Sam will primarily work with the men's basketball program, and assist with the track and field program.

During his free time he enjoys kayaking, working out, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors.

Sam is originally from Muskegon, MI, and currently resides in Williamsburg.
