Graceann Bennett

Graceann Bennett enters her second season on the William & Mary women's basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2026-27 after joining the program in May 2025.

In her first season on the sidelines, Bennett helped guide the Tribe to a 17-14 overall record and a berth in the CAA Championship Quarterfinals. The 17 victories marked the second-highest win total during head coach Erin Dickerson Davis' tenure and secured the program's fifth consecutive postseason appearance.

William & Mary earned 10 road victories, the second-most in program history, and closed the season by winning four of its final five games, including a postseason victory over N.C. A&T in the second round of the CAA Championship. During non-conference play, the Tribe won six consecutive games, highlighted by a 67-64 road victory at Wake Forest. The win marked the program's first victory over a power-conference opponent since 2015 and its first-ever win over the Demon Deacons.

The Tribe also continued to see unprecedented support from the Williamsburg community, leading the CAA in home attendance with an average of 1,081 fans per game, the second-highest mark in program history. William & Mary welcomed four of the 10 largest crowds in school history during the season, including a program-record attendance of 1,439 against Towson on Feb. 15.

Bennett helped mentor a squad that featured several individual standouts, including Cassidy Geddes, who earned CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year and All-CAA Second Team honors while becoming the 23rd player in program history to score 1,000 career points. Tika Sallman earned CAA Player of the Week honors twice, while Monet Dance also garnered conference weekly recognition. Geddes, Alexa Mikeska and Natalie Fox were named CSC Academic All-District selections.

Bennett begins her coaching career with the Tribe after spending a year playing professionally in Greece following a five-year collegiate career at Georgetown.

The Lake George, N.Y. native posted impressive numbers during her 27 games with GS Esperides Kalliotheas in the Greece A1 League, averaging a double-double of 13.6 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. She grabbed 14-plus rebounds on eight occasions for the club and put up a dozen double-doubles.

Bennett started every game in her last two seasons of college at Georgetown, and averaged a career-high 9.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in her final year of 2023-24. Overall, she played in 132 games and made 117 starts for the Hoyas in her career, averaging 7.3 points and 5.7 rebounds.

The 6-foot-1 forward posted 43 performances in double figures during that time, including a career-high 20 against Butler in 2023-24. She also grabbed double-digit rebounds 11 times during her career.

Bennett graduated with bachelor's degrees in Marketing and Management in 2023 and a master's in Sports Industry Management in 2024 from Georgetown.
