Elena Larcombe

Elena Larcombe was named the director of operations for the Tribe track & field and cross country programs in September of 2025.
 
Larcombe came to Williamsburg after spending last season was a graduate assistant coach for cross country and track & field at VCU. During her time in Richmond, she also earned her Master’s in Sport Leadership from the VCU Center for Sport Leadership. Larcombe worked primarily with the Rams distance program.
 
During the track & field season, VCU was the runner-up on the women’s side at the A-10 Indoor Championships, before placing third at the Outdoor Championships. The Rams men’s team placed third at both A-10 Championships in 2025. Both programs also earned All-Academic Team status by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
 
A Virginia Beach, Va., native, Larcombe was a student-athlete and captain of the cross country and track & field program at Bridgwater College. She earned her undergraduate degree in health and exercise science with a minor in coaching in 2024.
 
During her final semester at Bridgewater in the spring of 2024, Larcombe worked as an athletics intern and a track & field assistant. Along with observing and assisting on the coaching side, he helped in media coverage during competitions, managed equipment and facilities, and performed administrative tasks.
 
Larcombe also has experience coaching at the high school level. In the fall of 2023, she was an assistant cross country coach at Turner Ashby High School in Bridgewater, Va. During her time with the program, she helped coach both the boys and girls programs to the regional championships for the first time in program history.
