Billy Tucker joined the William & Mary Athletics staff as an Associate Athletic Trainer in June 2026.
Billy arrived in Williamsburg following a tenure at Bridgewater College, where he provided comprehensive healthcare, injury prevention, and rehabilitation for the Eagles' football, track & field, men’s lacrosse, and tennis programs.
His background in athletic training is rooted in extensive clinical experience across multiple collegiate levels. While completing his graduate studies at Bridgewater, Billy completed clinical rotations with the Eagles' football, men’s basketball, and baseball teams. In the fall of 2022, he gained additional clinical experience at Mary Baldwin University, supporting their soccer, volleyball, cross country, and basketball programs, before completing a final rotation at James Madison University with the Dukes' cheerleading and men’s tennis teams.
A native of Rockingham County, Virginia, Billy’s path to sports medicine began as a high school soccer and track athlete. Lacking access to an athletic trainer at the time, he developed a passion for injury prevention and self-rehabilitation. A drive that deepened when he continued playing rugby at the club level in college.
Billy earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Bridgewater College in April 2020, followed by his Master of Science in Athletic Training from Bridgewater in April 2023.
