Ava Morton joined the William & Mary staff as Associate Director of Media Relations in October 2021. An award-winning Public Relations practitioner, Morton works with Women's Basketball, Women’s Field Hockey, Men's and Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country.
Prior to joining the W&M Staff, Morton managed accounts and brands for a Fortune 500 company. However, she credits her time as a communications liaison for Residential Life and Housing at her alma mater as the foundation for her enthusiasm to communicate innovative narratives. Â
A graduate of the Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture at Virginia Commonwealth University, Morton earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. Since childhood, she has been intrigued by sports and is passionate about telling genuine stories that positively impact the lives of others.
