After wrapping up her playing career at William & Mary, Alessandra Anghel joins the Tribe as a volunteer assistant coach in 2025-26.
 
Anghel started her career at the University of Louisiana Monroe, before playing her final two seasons with the Green and Gold. Anghel earned All-CAA honors during both of her seasons with the Tribe. She was a first team choice in singles in 2025 and earned a spot on the third team in doubles as well. During her sophomore season, Anghel was a third team singles pick.
 
Anghel enjoyed her best season as a senior, finishing the year ranked No. 13 in the ITA Atlantic Region Singles standings. She ranked second on the team with a 22-10 singles mark, including a 14-5 ledger at No. 2. She excelled in the classroom as well, earing CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll distinction during both semesters.
 
As a junior, Anghel helped lead the Tribe to its 29th CAA Championship. Over her two seasons, the Tribe posted a 34-12 dual-match record. Anghel amassed 36-17 singles record and 26-16 doubles mark over her two seasons with the Green and Gold.
