Kayla Jackson joined the William & Mary Sports Medicine Staff in the summer of 2025 and works with the volleyball and women’s swimming programs. Prior to W&M, Kayla spent the previous year as an athletic training intern at Michigan State University in Lansing, Mich. While at MSU, she worked with the varsity and novice women’s rowing programs. Kayla received her M.S. in Athletic Training from James Madison University in 2024 and B.S. in Health Science from JMU in 2022.
While at JMU, Kayla had clinical rotations with the Dukes' women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse, and men’s soccer programs. During her final year in Harrisonburg, Kayla spent time researching the clinical use of handheld dynamometers and strength measurements in athletes with a history of ACL reconstruction.
Originally from Fredericksburg, Va., she now resides in Williamsburg. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and trying new desserts.
