Fran Bolletino

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Fran Bolletino begins his first season with William & Mary volleyball in 2017-18, after three years as a volunteer coach at two different institutions.  Bolletino will be responsible for coaching the Tribe's setters, as well as assisting in all off-court responsibilities for running W&M's nationally-recognized program.

Prior to coming to Williamsburg, Bolletino spent the 2016 season as a volunteer assistant at Maryland, helping the Terrapins to a 12-20 record that included a win over No. 19 Ohio State.  Before that, he spent two years as a volunteer at the University of the Sciences of Philadelphia, and three years as a head coach at the club level.

Bolletino was a player on the Penn State men's club team while he was an undergraduate there, captaining the team to a pair of EIVA championships and top-10 national rankings.  He was also a practice player and assistant for the legendary Nittany Lions women's national team, providing scout-team practice for the starting line-up and working more closely with the setters and defensive players.  During his time at Penn State, the women won the 2013 NCAA Championship.  Bolletino graduated in 2014 with his degree in criminology, and recently moved to the Williamsburg area.
