Earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll distinction during the fall semester.
Cross Country: Appeared in five of six meets … Opened the season with a 14th-place finish at the Spider Alumni Open (8/31/24) in 14:17.7 … Placed eighth at the Christopher Newport Invitational (9/13/24) in 22:37.13 … Posted top-70 finishes at the Pirate Cross Country Invitational (34th in 22:39.0), the Panorama Farms Invitational (68th in 22:26.3), and the CAA Championships (39th in 22:32.5).
Indoor Track & Field: Posted a career-best time of 10:17.41 in the 3,000m at the Brant Tolsma Invitational (1/23-25/25) … Posted a career-best time of 3:00.96 in the 1,000m at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (2/14-15/25) … Placed 22nd in the 800m at the CAA Championships (2/26-27/25).
Outdoor Track & Field: Finished fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase at the CAA Championships (5/14-15/25) behind a career-best time of 10:45.19, making her the eighth-fastest performer in the event in school history … Finished third in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Fred Hardy Invitational (3/21/25), crossing the line in 11:09.48 … Won the 1,500m at the Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational (3/29/25) in 4:41.64 … Posted a career-best time of 4:34.70 in the 1,500m at the Hill City Twilight (5/2/25).

2023-24 Season
A W&M Provost Award winner … Named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll during the fall.
Cross Country: Ran in all six events during the fall … Placed 44th (22:44.2) at the CAA Championships (10/27/23) … Was W&M’s No. 4 runner at the Spider Alumni Open (9/2/23), Adidas XC Challenge (9/15/23) and Paul Short Run (9/30/23) … Earned top-30 finishes at the Spider Alumni Open (21st in 14:28.9) and the Adidas XC Challenge (26th in 18:20.0) … Finished third for the Tribe and 53rd overall at the Virginia XC23 Pre-Nationals (10/14/23) in a time of 22:03.8 … Closed the season with a 155th-place finish (22:51.6) at the NCAA Southeast Regional (11/10/23).
Indoor Track & Field: Earned All-CAA honors in the Distance Medley Relay … Scored as a member of two relays (DMR and the 4x800m) at the CAA Championships (2/22-23/24) … Earned a silver medal running a leg on the Distance Medley Relay at the conference meet in a time of 11:44.54 … The time ranked 15th in the Southeast Region and eighth in school history … Posted a top-5 finish in the 4x800m Relay at CAAs … Ran a leg on the winning DMR at the Doc Hale VT Meet (2/2-3/24) … Ran a season-best 5:02.33 in the mile to finish fifth at the Navy Select (2/16/24) … Placed fifth in the mile (5:05.01) at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (2/9-10/24) … Finished fourth in the 800m (2:18.63) at the George Mason Patriot Games (1/26-27/24).
Outdoor Track & Field: Scored at the CAA Championships (5/10-11/24) by finishing eighth in the 3000m Steeplechase in a season-best time of 11:03.72 … Notched a season-best 4:36.25 in the 1500m at the Wake Forest Invitational (4/19/24) … Finished second in the 2000m  Steeplechase (7:08.97) at the Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational (3/16/24) … Posted a second-place finish in the 1500m (4:46.09) at the CNU Blue & Silver Challenge (3/30/24) … Finished seventh in the 3000m Steeplechase (11:06.00) at the Colonial Relays (4/4-6/24).

2022-23 Season
Earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll distinction...Received William & Mary Provost Award for Academic Excellence
Cross Country: Ran a 22:18.6 at the Christopher Newport Regional Preview (09/16/22) to take fourth place… Finished in 30^th at the CAA Championship (10/28/22) with a time of 22:53.70… Placed top-120 at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship (11/11/22)… Was top-75 at the Virginia XC23 Invitational (10/15/22)… Recorded a top-25 showing at the Charlotte Opener (9/2/22). 
Outdoor Track & Field: Ran in the 3,000m steeplechase at the CAA Championships (5/5/23)… Moved into No. 14 on W&M’s all-time 3,000m steeplechase performers list with a time of 11:20.68. 
 
2021-22 Season
Earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll distinction
Cross Country: Finished 120th at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship (11/12/21)… Placed top-35 at the CAA Championship (10/30/21)… Finished in 35^th at the Virginia XC23 Invitational (10/15/23) in 18:39.3… Suited up for the Green and Gold at the Paul Short Run (10/1/21)… Was 30^th at the Virginia Invitational (9/17/21) in 18:51.7… Made her collegiate debut at the William & Mary Invitational (9/11/21), placing 3rd in 19:40.94. 
Indoor Track & Field: Placed first in the 800m at the Navy Select Meet (2/18/22). 
Outdoor Track & Field: Posted a PR in the 1,500m at the Virginia Grand Prix (5/1/22)…  Finished second in the 1,500m and 800m at the Stimson Memorial (3/26/22). 

Prep 
Placed fifth at regions and sixth at the Alaska D1 State Cross Country Championship … Helped lead her team to its first girls state championship in school history … The team also received the academic award … Named to the all-state team as both a sophomore and junior … As a senior, placed fourth in the 1,600m and sixth in both the 800m and 3,200m at the state track meet … Finished second in the 800m, fourth in the 1,600m, and third in 3,200m at regions in 2021 … Helped her high school team to two state championships and three region crowns … Anchored the winning 4x800m relay teams at regions, state, and also a post-season all-star meet, Brian Young Invitational, in 2021 … At the Invitational, the relay set the meet record (9:34.49) … Individually at the Brian Young Invitational, placed second in the 800m and third in the 1,600m in person-best times of 2:19.44 and 5:14.38, respectively … Earned four academic letter gold stars, including two semesters of GPA over 4.0 … Received the Seal of Biliteracy in French … A member of National Honor Society … An AP Scholar … Graduated high school Summa Cum Laude … Served as a Math tutor for Math Outreach Program … Was first chair flute in the Symphonic Band.

Daughter of Dan Young and Amy Sayer … Father, Dan, was a diver at W&M and graduated in 1992 … Enjoys hiking, skiing, baking, fishing, berry picking and reading.
