Olivia Harpel spent one season as a graduate assistant on the Tribe’s coaching staff after playing for the Tribe in 2019.
 
Harpel joined the Tribe as a grad transfer from Northwestern last season and saw action in all 15 games with four starts. In addition to her impact on the field in the form of production and leadership, she also excelled in the classroom and earned the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award.
                  
Prior to joining the Tribe, Harpel spent four seasons at Northwestern University. She appeared in eight games for the Wildcats in 2018 and helped the squad advance to NCAA quarterfinals en route to garnering a No. 8 national ranking in the final Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaching Association (IWLCA) Poll.
 
One of the nation's top players in high school, Harpel was a two-time U.S. Lacrosse All-American at West Windsor Plainsboro High School North. Additionally, she was an Under Armour All-America selection in 2014 and MVP of the 2013 U.S. Lacrosse All-American Showcase.
 
Harpel finished her prep career with multiple school records, including 362 goals, 113 assists, 394 draw controls and 355 ground balls.
 
A four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, Harpel earned her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in psychology at NU and will be in the MBA program at W&M.
 
Harpel was a five-time Dean's List honoree at NU and served as a team representative with the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
