Prep: Ran at Grapevine HS in Texas for her freshman year and sophomore cross country, before moving to Virginia and completing her career at Brentsville District ... Earned all-district cross country honors as a sophomore ... Three-times qualified for the Texas State Community Problem Solving competition ... For Brentsville, was the district cross country runner-up in 2008 and won in 2009 ... Won the region both years ... All-state honoree in 2008 ... Also earned all-state indoor track honors at 3,200m in the winter of 2008 ... All-District and all-region indoors and outdoors in 2008, in both the 1,600m and 3,200m ... All-District outdoors at 3,200m each of the past two years ... Named Runner of the Year by the Washington Post in 2008, as well as by the Manassas Journal-Messenger that same year ... First-team All-Washington Area cross country in 2009, by the Washington Post.
