Selected in the third round with the 103rd pick by the Washington Nationals in the 2017 MLB Draft…Appeared in 16 games with 14 starts during his season for the Green and Gold…Finished the year with a 2-2 record on the mound…Paced the team and ranked fifth in the CAA with 95 strikeouts in 77.1 total innings of work…Owned a 4.66 ERA after allowing 44 runs (40 earned) on 79 hits…Held opponents to a .264 batting average…Made W&M debut at then-ranked No. 2 Florida (2/17), tossing three innings of relief with strikeouts and two runs on three hits…Started first game of his W&M career at then-ranked No. 12 Virginia (2/28) and gave up just one run on three hits in five innings…Recorded five strikeouts in just two innings against Rhode Island (3/5)…Fanned nine batters and allowed three runs (all unearned) on five hits in a no decision against Yale (3/12)…Captured first win after tossing six innings, striking out six and allowing four runs on five hits at CAA rival UNCW (3/26)…Logged 7.1 innings, struck out a career-best 11 and surrendered just one run on six hit in a no decision at conference foe Delaware…Registered second consecutive seven inning start at Elon, fanning eight and allowing one run on eight hits for a no decision…Finished just shy of reaching double-digit strikeouts at nine after hurling six innings at ETSU (4/15)…Limited Towson to two runs (both earned) on three hits and struck out eight through 5.2 innings for his second win…Posted second double-digit strikeout effort at 10 against CAA foe Northeastern (5/11).
