Kate Sramac

After being one of William & Mary’s top contributors on the hardwood last season, Kate Sramac enters her first season as a graduate assistant on the Tribe’s coaching staff.

Her primary responsibilities will include assisting coach Sugar Rodgers with aspects of the recruiting process, creating Tribe Vibe, the team's monthly newsletter, organizing various logistics on game-day and during practice, overseeing team's managers, and occasionally jumping into practice to play whenever needed.

Sramac joined the Green and Gold as a grad transfer from Cornell last season and was the only Tribe player to start all 30 of the team’s games. Averaging nearly 34 minutes per game, she led the team with 93 assists and 168 rebounds, and tied for the team-lead with 48 steals. Averaged 5.9 points per game.

Before arriving in Williamsburg, Sramac spent four seasons at Cornell University. The Ivy League did not participate in the 2020-21 season, but, as a junior in 2019-20, Sramac was a mainstay in the Big Red’s lineup. She started 25 of 26 contests, averaging 7.9 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. She led Cornell in both steals and assists, and had the highest 3-point shooting percentage on the team (34%). Her assist/turnover ratio (1.3) led Cornell and ranked fifth in the Ivy League. Sramac also ranked second in the Ivy League in steals per game, seventh in assists per game. Her career-high seven steals against Dartmouth as a junior ranked fifth all-time for a single game in Cornell history and was only one off the school record.

The Almanac Female Athlete of the Year in 2017, Sramac was twice named first-team All-Quad A Section 4 at Mount Lebanon High School. As a senior, she led Mt. Lebanon to a Section Championship, the Final 4 of the WPIAL, and a Sweet 16 PIAA state playoff berth. Additionally, she was selected to play in the 2017 Roundball Class All-Star game, where she captured the 3-point shooting championship. Off the court, Sramac was named a 2017 US Lacrosse All-American and was selected to the 2015 Women's Hockey U18 USA Player Development Camp.

Sramac earned her undergraduate degree in Communication at Cornell and is working toward her Master’s in Business Administration at W&M.
