2024-25 Season
Earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll distinction during the fall semester … A W&M Provost  Award winner.
Cross Country:  Competed in four meets … Set a career best in the 8,000m at the Pirate Cross Country Invitational (10/4/24), crossing the line in 24:54.5 … Posted top-50 finishes at the Spider Alumni Open (27th in 19:01.0) and the CAA Championships (44th in 26:48.3).
Indoor Track & Field: A member of the distance medley relay team that won the CAA Championships (2/26-27/25) in 10:01.46 … Placed third in the 1,000m at the Brant Tolsma Invitational (1/23-25/25) … A member of the distance medley relay team that finished fifth at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (2/14-15/25) in 10:23.58.
Outdoor Track & Field: Set a personal best of 8:47.40 in the 3,000m at the Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational (3/29/25) … At the same meet, ran a leg on the 4x400m relay team that placed first in 3:30.50 … A member of the 4x1,500m relay team that finished second at the Colonial Relays (4/3-5/25) in 16:08.80 … Placed ninth in the 1,500m at the CAA Championships (5/14-15/25).

2023-24 Season
A W&M Provost Award winner … Named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll with High Honors during the fall.
Cross Country: Ran in a trio of events during the fall … Finished 59th (27:19.9) in the CAA Championships (10/27/23) … Opened the year with a 54th-place finish  (19:24.9) at the Spider Alumni Open (9/2/23)  … Crossed the line in 32nd place at the Adidas XC Challenge (9/15/23) in a time of 19:05.6.
Indoor Track & Field: Advanced to the finals and placed 12th in the mile at the CAA Championship (2/22-23/24) … Ran a season-best 4:14.61 in the prelims at the championship … Ran a leg on the third-place finishing Distance Medley Relay at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (2/9-10/24) … Ran the 3000m (8:53.01) and finished 19th at the Brant Tolsma Invitational (1/18-20/24).
Outdoor Track & Field: Advanced to the finals and placed ninth in the 1500m at the CAA Championships (5/10-11/24) … Ran a 3:54.37 in the finals … Placed 15th in the 800m (1:54.38) at the Virginia High Performance (4/28/24) … Finished sixth in the 2000m steeplechase (6:24.70) at the Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational (3/16/24) … Ran a leg on the fifth-place finishing 4x400m relay at the Fred Hardy Invitational (3/22/24).

2022-23 Season
Earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll distinction... Received William & Mary Provost Award for Academic Excellence
Cross Country: Suited up for the Tribe at the Virginia XC23 Invitational on Oct. 15… Ran at the Paul Short Run (9/30/22)… Finished top-15 at the CNU Regional Preview (9/16/22)… Was 39^th at the Charlotte Open (9/2/22).
Indoor Track & Field: Won bronze at the CAA Indoor Track & Field Championships (2/22/23) as part of the distance medley relay team that ran a 10:13.78… Ran a 10:24.21 with the distance relay squad that placed third at the Darius Dixon Memorial (2/11/23)… Took first place in the 800m at the Vince Brown Invitational (1/29/23).

Prep
Lettered in both cross country and track and field all four years of high school career... Won 2x800m Class 5 Indoor State Championship (2021)... Earned 800m All-State Honors (2021)... Three-Time Region 5A Cross Country Team Champion (2018-2020)... Served as cross country and track team captain (2020-2021)... Eagle Scout... President of Outdoors Club... Treasurer of National Honor Society... Volunteered with Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church as an Acolyte and summer camp counselor... Honor Roll .. IB diploma recipient... Son of Harold and Alla Henkel … Enjoys surfing, camping, and listening to music … Earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from W&M in May of 2024.
