Indoor: Ran lifetime-bests in the 500m, 600m, and 1000m during the season ... Opened the year with a 2:35.98 in the 1000m at CNU in January for second overall ... Ran 1:07.57 in the 500m the next week at GMU ... Finished the year with a fourth-place 1:23.21 in the 600m at Virginia Tech, breaking the Tribe's school record in the event ... Also key on the W&M relays ... Ran each of the top-two 4x400m relays, including 3:22.87 at Virginia Tech ... Anchored the 4x800m at Virginia Tech and during the prelims of the IC4A Championships ... Ran the 400m leg of the DMR at CNU in January, earning W&M an IC4A-qualifier.
Outdoor: Named All-CAA for the third year in a row on W&M's runner-up 4x400m relay ... Finished fourth in the pole vault, as part of W&M's 1-5 sweep in the event ... Seventh in the 400m hurdles, running 59.76 in his first attempt at the event ... Ran on each of the Tribe's top five 4x400m relays during the year, taking the second leg on the best four ... Indoor: Redshirted.
Outdoor: Earned All-CAA honors as part of the third-place 4x400m relay ... Took sixth in the pole vault with a lifetime-best 4.40m (14-5.25) ... Also finished eighth in the prelims of the 800m ... Ninth in the finals of the 800m at the Colonial Relays, running 1:57.85 ... Ran on the 4x800m and the SMR at Colonial Relays, the former to an IC4A-qualifying time ... Anchored the 4x800m in the prelims of the IC4A Championships.
2013-14
Indoor: Ran on both of the Tribe's relays at the IC4A Championships ... Helped the 4x800m record its best performance (7:38.66) in over 15 years ... Ran the 800m leg of the DMR in the IC4A finals as well ... Best 800m time during the season was 1:56.41 at the Armory on Valentine's Day ... Also ran 52.09 in the 400m and 1:07.86 in the 500m ... Cleared the bar at 4.25m (13-11.25) in the pole vault.
Outdoor: Earned All-CAA honors as par of the Tribe's third-place 4x400m relay ... Also ran the 800m, finishing seventh in the conference ... Ran a season-best 1:56.38 in the prelims ... Competed in the pole vault as well, but did not place ... Cleared a best height of 4.35m (14-3.25) in the pole vault at Richmond in March ... Ran 50.35 in the 400m at that meet as well.
Prep
Named a prep All-American three times, twice in the 4x800m relay and once in the distance medley relay ... Helped Syosset win the New York state title in the 4x800m ... All-state in both the 4x800m and the pole vault ... Won the county title in both those events as well as the open 800m ... Awarded the NYS Sportsmanship award during the 2013 indoor season ... Vice President of the student government Senate for two years.

Son of Thomas and Karen Wilkens ... Is the fourth family member in his generation to run cross country and/or track in college ... Had relatives compete at Stony Brook, Hofstra, and LIU-Post in the past eight years ... Enjoys surfing, skate boarding, and sky-diving.
