Indoor: IC4A Champion in the shot put ... Broke through with a lifetime-best put of 18.20m (59-8.5) to win the IC4A title ... Also won the shot put at Navy in late February ... All-East in the weight throw as well, taking fourth for the second year in a row ... Threw the weight a lifetime-best 18.56m (60-10.75) for the win at Navy in December ... Improved that three more times, capped off with a throw of 19.61m (64-4) for the win at VMI on Valentine's Day ... Won a total of four weight throw competitions during the season ... Named first-team all-state in throws on the first-ever VaSID Indoor Track & Field All-State team ... CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for having a GPA over 3.0 in the fall semester ... Named All-Academic by the USTFCCCA ... Voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 First Team.
Outdoor: Season cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic ... W&M Provost's Award for having a GPA over 3.5.
2018-19
Indoor: Named All-East in both the shot put and the weight throw at the IC4A Championships ... Threw a lifetime-best 18.31m (60-1) in the weight throw for fourth place ... In the shot, finished seventh overall at 16.70m (54-9.5) ... Set a lifetime-best in the shot put at 17.45m (57-3) to win at JDL ... During the regular season, finished third or better in eight of 12 events.
Outdoor: Honorable Mention All-American ... Finished 24th at the NCAA Championships in the discus ... First athlete in school history to qualify for a national outdoor final in a throwing event that wasn't the javelin ... Threw a lifetime-best 56.73m (186-1) in the NCAA Eastern Semifinals to advance to the NCAA finals in an upset 12th-place performance ... First athlete in school and conference history to qualify for three different individual NCAA events in a single season ... Also finished 41st in the shot put, and fouled all three attempts in the hammer ... Named the CAA Field Athlete of the Year ... Also selected as the Most Outstanding Field Athlete of the CAA Championships, after winning both the discus and the hammer at the conference meet ... Won both events with then-lifetime best marks, including 60.70m (199-2) in the hammer ... Went on to earn All-East honors in all three throws at the IC4A Championships ... Runner-up in the discus, sixth in the shot put, and seventh in the hammer throw at IC4As ... Put the shot a lifetime-best 17.37m (57-0) at the Stimson Memorial Meet ... That performance won him CAA Athlete of the Week honors on April 2 ... Won the college division hammer throw at the Penn Relays, one of five victories on the year ... 2017-18
Indoor: Broke W&M's freshman record in the weight throw, taking it all the way up to 16.88m (55-4.75) ... Qualified for the IC4A Championships in the shot put with his season-best of 16.10m (52-10) at Liberty in early February ... Runner-up in that competition as well as the shot put at the UCS Invitational ... Third in the shot at the VMI Winter Relays.
Outdoor: CAA Rookie of the Year ... First for W&M and first thrower from any school to win the award since 2015 ... W&M's first true freshman to qualify for the NCAA Championships since 2013 ... Qualified in the discus, and finished 25th in the Eastern Semifinals, 14 places higher than he was predicted ... Finished sixth in the discus at the USAT&F U20 Championships ... Also took ninth in the shot put at the U20 Championships ... Broke the freshman record in the discus three times, up to 52.60m (172-7) at Duke ... Also broke the freshman record in the hammer throw four times, up to 54.03m (177-3) at the Colonial Relays ... Scored in all three throws at the CAA Championships ... Runner-up in the discus and third in the shot put for All-CAA honors ... Also finished fifth in the hammer ... IC4A qualifier in all three disciplines ... Earned All-East honors with a sixth-place finish in the discus ... Won the Penn Relays College Division discus ... Also won the discus against Buffalo, George Mason, and Navy at the Stimson Memorial Quad Meet, and at the Tribe Invitational ...
