2013-14Indoor: Broke the W&M school record in the weight throw at the IC4A Championships ... Became the first Tribe thrower to eclipse 60 feet in the event, throwing 18.53m (60-9.5) ... Placed ninth, missing All-East honors by one spot ... Also placed 17th in the shot put at the IC4A meet ... Won the weight throw at the Mason Last Chance meet ... In 14 regular-season competitions (not counting IC4As), finishing third or higher in 10 of them ... Set lifetime-bests five times in the weight throw (out of eight meets), and three times in the shot put.
Outdoor: Redshirted ... While competing unattached, won the hammer throw at each of his first four meets ... Set a lifetime-best in the event at the first three meets, culminating in a throw of 58.17m (190-10) to win the Colonial Relays..
2012-13Indoor: Redshirted while recovering from injury ... Competed unattached twice ... Set lifetime-bests in the weight throw first at CNU in December (14.51m), then improved to 1531m (50-2.75) at CNU in late January.
Outdoor: Named the Most Outstanding Field Athlete of the CAA Championships, after scoring in all four throwing events and winning his first conference title ... Totaled 28 points as he led W&M to the conference championship ... Won the shot put with a lifetime-best effort of 16.34m (53-7.5) ... Runner-up in the discus with another lifetime-best, 45.04m (147-9) ... Third in the javelin with yet another best-ever throw of 50.38m (165-3) ... Fourth in the hammer at 50.06m (164-3) ... Earlier in the spring, set a lifetime-best in the hammer of 52.63m (172-8) to finish secord at the Colonial Relays ... Won the hammer at CNU in late April ... Named CAA Field Athlete of the Week on April 16, after breaking 16m in the shot put for the first time at George Mason.
2011-12Indoor: Threw both the shot and the weight at four meets ... Steadily improved in the shot put, finishing the year with a 14.91m (48-11) showing at the Vince Brown Invitational ... Took third with that put ... Best weight throw of 14.14m (46-4.75) was a third-place effort at the CNU Captain's Invitational in January.
Outdoor: Scored in all three weight events at the CAA Championships ... Performance included a lifetime-best 15.87m (52-1) put to take third and earn All-CAA honors in the shot put ... Seventh in the hammer and eighth in the discus as well ... Best mark in the hammer came in the season-opening Mason Invitational ... Finished third with a throw of 47.04m (154-4) ... Won the shot put at the New Captain's Classic with a put of 15.18m (49-9.75).
PrepPicked up throwing only in the final 18 months of high school ... Named all-district and all-region in his first season of outdoor competition ... As a senior, finished eighth in the shot put at the New Balance Indoor Nationals ... Also won the district and finished second at the Virginia AAA state championships ... Second in the region as well ... Outdoors, won the district and region titles before finishing third at the state championships ... Selected as Great Bridge's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year ... Member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and the FBLA.
