Neal returns for his final season as Tribe gymnast having won three USA Gymnastics Collegiate national titles, two in vaulting and one on floor exercise to go with three additional All-American designations on floor exercise and high bar. He has also placed third and eleventh at the NCAA Championships in vaulting in addition to placing fourth at the Proctor and Gamble U. S. Championships/World Games trials in Hartford, CT on this event. He has also finished 10
th on floor exercise at the P&G Championships…In addition, Neal excels academically having received three first team All-American Scholar-Athlete designations from the College Gymnastics Association to go with three William & Mary Provost Awards for academic excellence while double majoring in chemistry and French. Over the past two summers, Neal has pursued his passion for language by taking advantage of William & Mary’s study abroad program in both France and Germany. He is considering several options should he decide to continue his global involvement ranging from Fulbright Scholarship application to performing internationally with a Cirque du Soleil type of production...Neal has earned numerous ECAC and USAG Collegiate Gymnast of the Week honors in addition to being selected as the ECAC Rookie of the Year. He currently ranks first in the all-time William & Mary record books on floor exercise and vaulting and second on the high bar. Neal has also received the Rock Award as the Tribe’s hardest working gymnast who could always be counted on when the going gets tough and the Bruce Davidson Award as William & Mary’s outstanding rising senior student-athlete…In Junior Olympic competition, Neal competed for CG’s Gymnastics where he was coached by James Clement and Chad Babin…Neal’s parents are Mark and Laura Courter.
