Freshman Season (2020-21)
Became the fourth Tribe player to be named the CAA Rookie of the Year … Just the second W&M player to be selected as the VaSID State Rookie of the Year … Ranked 19th nationally among freshmen in scoring at 13.4 points per game … Finished the year ranks 15th in the CAA in scoring (13.4), 16th in rebounding (4.8), 11th in free throw % (79.2), 15th in 3-point % (35.7) and 11th in defensive rebounds (4.0) … Named to the CAA All-Rookie Team … In CAA play, averaged 15.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game becoming just the second CAA freshman since 1992-93 to average at last 15 points and five rebounds per game in CAA games … Scored 20 or more points four times … Posted a career-high 30 points and 12 rebounds in a win at Towson (Jan. 31) on his way to earning CBS Sports/ United States Basketball Writers Association National Rookie of the Week honors … Was the only 30-10 double-double in the CAA this season and one of only three nationally for a freshman, joining Cade Cunningham (Oklahoma State) and Rayshon Harrison (Presbyterian) … Named CAA Player of the Week on Feb. 1 … Scored 26 points, including 14-of-16 from the free throw line, and added eight rebounds in a win at CAA Champion Drexel (1/17) … Helped W&M rally from a nine-point deficit with 4:07 remaining, by hitting 12-of-14 from the free throw line over the final 3:17 … Named CAA Rookie of the Week on Nov. 30 after scoring 19 points on 6-of-7 from 3-point range in his collegiate debut … Totaled 20 points to go with five rebounds vs. Elon (2/20) … Scored 17 points in the Tribe CAA Opening round win over UNCW (3/6) … Named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll … Selected as W&M’s Mark Batzel Award, which is given to the player that displays leadership, determination, mental toughness and heart, while having the ability to instill those qualities in his teammates.Â

Named Second Team All-State by both the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association and the Chicago Sun-Times …  A McDonald’s All-American nominee, one of 13 from the state of Illinois … An Associated Press Illinois All-State Honorable Mention pick … Averaged 24 points and six rebounds per game, while shooting 43% from 3-point range in leading St. Viator to 21 wins and a regional championship in 2019-20 … Scored a career-high 40 points in a win over Waukegan during the Lakes Martin Luther King, Jr. Tournament … Two nights later, eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in leading St. Viator to the event title with a win over Naperville Central … Named to the Wheeling All-Hardwood Team in December of 2019 … As a junior and a senior, was named ESCC All-Conference and Daily Herald All-Area … Averaged 15 points, five rebounds and three assists per game in 2018-19 … Shot 40% from 3-point range as a junior … A three-year starter for Quin Hayes at Saint Viator … Helped St. Viator to a regional championship and a 26-7 record in 2019 … As a sophomore, helped St. Viator to the ESCC Conference Championship thanks to a 9-0 record … Was the Freshman MVP in 2017 in leading his team to the conference championship (9-0) … Played soccer at Saint Viator as well and was named the Lion Award winner in freshman soccer … Played the last three years for UAA-Rise Fundamental University Basketball Team … In the summer of 2019 played on the Under Armour Rise Circuit and his team was ranked in the national top 25 … Averaged 17 points per game while leading Fundamental U to an overall UAA-Rise record of 14-2, losing to eventual champion Northern Kings, 50-46, in the semifinals … His team won the UAA-Rise Anatomix Division with a record of 10-1 … Named All-UAA-Rise honorable selection … Scored 29 and 25 points in two victories against Wisconsin Playground Elite (UAA) … A member of the National Honor Society … Involved in Champions Club, Ambassadors Club and Investment Club at St. Viator.
