Named the team’s winner of the Kraze Award and the Mark Batzel Award … The Kraze award is given for a player's ability to inspire his teammates and is named in honor of former Tribe team captain John Kratzer, who received the inaugural United States Basketball Writers Association Most Courageous Athlete award … The Batzel Award is given to the player that displays leadership, determination, mental toughness and heart, while having the ability to instill those qualities in his teammates … Started 29 of his 30 games … Ranked fourth on the team in scoring (8.3) and topped the program with 103 assists on the year … Ranked fourth in the CAA in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.9), sixth in assists (3.4), 14th in steals (1.3) and 15th in field goal % (45.1) … His 51.4% from field in CAA play ranked eighth in the league … Shot 73.2% (41-of-56) from the free throw line and 32.6% (15-of-46) from 3-point range … Scored in double figures in 12 games … Tallied a career-high 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, to go with seven assists in a home win over Hampton (11/15) … His lone bucket at Wofford (11/12) was a driving lay-up with 3.8 seconds remaining to lift the Tribe its third-straight road win to open the season … Knocked down a trio of 3-pointers and finished with 10 points with seven assists in a win over Morehead State (11/26) … In the Tribe’s 77-72 win over Drexel (2/13), tallied 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting … During the Gold Rush victory over Delaware (2/15), notched 12 points, seven assists and five rebounds … On Senior Day, finished with 15 points and six assists in a win over Elon (2/29) … Named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
Junior Season at Milwaukee (2018-19)

Appeared in all 35 games as a freshman, playing 12.1 minutes per game and helping the Panthers to the Horizon League Championship Game … Averaged 4.1 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists per outing … Shot 42.7 percent from the floor and a team-best 45.2 percent on 3-pointers (14-of-31) … Made 72.5 percent of his free throws (37-of-51) … Impressed in debut exhibition against Concordia (11/5), finishing with eight points and seven rebounds in 17 minutes of playing time … Tallied eight points, three rebounds and a pair of steals in the season-opener against MSOE (11/11) … Posted an impressive outing in front of hometown family and friends at DePaul (11/20), leading the team in scoring with a season-high 14 points … Made 5-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-5 from the free throw line in 21 minutes … Chipped in four points, three rebounds and three steals in the win over UC Irvine (11/26) … Provided a spark off the bench against SDSU (11/27), dropping 13 points in just 13 minutes of playing time on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor to go with four rebounds … Scored nine points and handed out three assists at Loyola (12/10) ... A four-year varsity player and three-year varsity starter at Bogan Prep in Chicago … Led his team to a 20-8 record and a spot in the 2016 IHSA Boys Basketball Sectional Finals as a senior … A two-year team captain for the Bengals, averaged 13.4 points, 5.5 assists, 2.4 steals and 2.7 rebounds per game his final season on his way to earning Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Class 3A/4A Third-Team All-State honors … Was named Third Team Chicago Sun-Times All-City as well as First-Team All-City CPS … Helped Bogan earn a CPS City Championship in 2015 and a Red South Conference Championship in 2014 … As a junior, the team went 23-7 overall while Barnes averaged 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per contest … Played for the Mac Irvin Fire for two years on the AAU circuit and was the co-winner of its Summer Award for "Most-Improved Player" in Illinois from the class of 2016 ...
