Brian Sutton joined William & Mary in May of 2023 as a Sport Performance Coach.
In his first two years with the Tribe, Sutton assisted with football and oversaw the freshman development program. He also oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for women’s lacrosse, track & field / cross country, and M&W gymnastics.
Currently, Sutton oversees women’s lacrosse and he assists with football in addition to overseeing the freshman development program.
Originally from Hooksett, New Hampshire, Sutton holds a degree in Exercise & Sport Science from Coastal Carolina, where he interned for 3 years as an undergrad from 2018-2021. He earned a master’s degree in strength & conditioning from Springfield College in 2023, where he also interned and was a graduate assistant in charge of football, men’s volleyball, track & field, and men’s gymnastics.
Sutton has also interned at Boston College (2018), University of Georgia Football (2019), Clemson (2021), Quinnipiac (2022), and Buffalo Bills (2022). He also spent some time interning in the private sector at Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning (2020), Brian’s One2One Fitness (2020) and TFP (2022).
Sutton is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is also a FRC Lv.1 Mobility Specialist (FRCms).
