Reid Peters joined the W&M Sports Performance Department in 2022 and was promoted to the Director of Football Performance in 2025.
 
In his first three years with the Tribe, Peters served as the top strength & conditioning assistant for the Tribe football program, including during the program’s 11-2 CAA Championship season in 2022. He also oversaw all aspects of sports performance for the Tribe women’s basketball, field hockey, and tennis programs.
 
Prior to joining the Tribe, Peters was the director of strength & conditioning at Warner University in 2021-22. He oversaw all aspects of the department and the development of 23 teams including football.
 
Peters started his career at his alma mater, Winona State, in 2018 as the strength & conditioning intern for the university’s football program. He worked as a strength & conditioning intern for the University of Central Florida football program in 2019, before spending the 2019-20 year at New Hampshire as the assistant strength & conditioning coach for the Wildcat football team.
 
Peters returned to Winona State in 2020-21, serving as the graduate assistant strength & conditioning coach. In addition to the football program, he also worked with baseball, volleyball and women’s basketball.
 
Peters played wide receiver and defensive back under coach Tom Sawyer at Winona State from 2014-16 and earned his undergraduate degree from the institution. He received his Master of Science degree from Winona State University in educational leadership and sports management in 2021.
 
He is CSCS certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association and USAW-Lv.1 certified through United States Weightlifting. Peters is also a FRC Lv.1 Mobility Specialist (FRCms) and Altis Short Sprints Certified.

Peters lives in Williamsburg with his wife Jahaziel and their son Santino.
