Rachel Gantz spent the 2023 season as an assistant coach on the Tribe staff. In her lone season, she helped the Green and Gold to a CAA Championship and the program's second NCAA Tournament win.
 
Gantz was no stranger to the Tribe, having graduated from W&M in 2022 with degrees in psychology and business management and leadership. She was a freshman on the Tribe’s CAA winning team, appearing in 17 games as a reserve.
 
Since graduation, Gantz has worked as a recruiter for a tech company, an evidence technician for the Newport News Police Department and interned for client marketing with Sideline Sports & Entertainment before returning to the field hockey.
 
The Lancaster, Pa., native previously coached with USA Field Hockey for over four years in her hometown.
