Lauren Curran

Former Tribe standout Lauren Curran joined the William & Mary program as an assistant coach in the spring of 2024.
 
Curran spent last season as an assistant coach at Hofstra under the direction of former Tribe associate head coach and current Pride head coach Hillary Fits. In 2024, the Pride won its most CAA games since 2019 and had four student-athletes earn All-CAA honors.
 
As a senior in 2023, Curran helped lead the Tribe to the program’s second CAA Championship. She was named the Most Outstanding Player of the conference tournament after scoring a hat trick in the championship game win over Monmouth. The Tribe also won its first NCAA Tournament game, knocking off Sacred Heart in the opening round and Curran scored a goal in the 4-0 win.
 
During her senior season, Curran tallied 15 goals, the 10th most in Tribe history, and 33 points, the 11th most in program lore. She ranked 23rd nationally in goals per game (0.71) and 27th in points per game (1.57).
 
Over her four seasons in Williamsburg, Curran finished among the program's career leaders in shots on goal (3rd at 108), game-winning goals (6th at 9), goals per game (7th at 0.59), points per game (9th at 1.25), points (10th at 74), and goals (10th at 35).
 
Curran was a two-time All-CAA selection, including first team honors in 2022. She was also a two-time NFHCA All-South Region Second Team choice. Academically, Curran earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll during five semesters at W&M. She graduated from William & Mary with her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences in December 2023.
 
In addition to her experience with the Tribe, Curran started her career at Boston College and the Eagles advanced to the NCAA Final Four in 2019.
 
She has also served as a field hockey coach at her alma mater of the Academy of Notre Dame from 2019 through 2022, planning skill development drills and leading camps for middle school and high school student athletes. She was a coach with PowerHouse Field Hockey Club in 2024 a well.
