Made 18 appearances and started 13 games… Earned a victory and a save… Struck out 46 over 42.2 innings of work… Threw in two combined two-hitters… Made Tribe debut on opening weekend vs. Holy Cross (2/17)… Didn’t give up a hit or an earned run and fanned five batters in series opener vs. UMass Lowell (2/23)… Recorded a season-high six strikeouts in 3.1 shutout innings, surrendering a pair of hits and one walk in a victory over Central Connecticut State (3/1)… Allowed one run in 3.1 innings of work and struck out four in weekend sweep of Quinnipiac (3/15)… Had back-to-back outings without an earned run, combining to allow three hits and four strikeouts against VCU and Monmouth (4/2-7)… Earned the save in 2.2 scoreless innings of relief, allowing just one hit and fanning four (5/12)… Made a perfect appearance at Campbell (5/18), tossing the final 1.1 innings in eight pitches to secure a CAA Championship berth… Named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters and was a W&M Provost Award winner.
 
Prior to W&M
Played four years at Roanoke College… As a senior, tied for the team lead with four saves over 13 appearances out of the bullpen, posting a 3.07 ERA… Recorded 11.4 K/9, allowing only nine hits and holding opponents to a .173 batting average… Over his four seasons, held hitters to a .188 average, including a career-best .095 as a junior… Member of Sigma Pi Sigma National Physics Honor Society… Earned recognition for top-10% GPA among undergraduate physics students… Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics.
 
High School
Played at Benedictine College Prep in Richmond… As a senior, recorded 58 strikeouts over 28 innings of work… VISAA Division I State Champion in 2019.

Born on July 25, 2001, in Richmond, Va., to Rick and Cheryl Markus… Has two brothers, Nicholas and Tyler… Favorite baseball movie is Rookie of the Year… Pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics.
