Brink Ambler spent two seasons as a member of the Tribe staff. He returned to his hometown of Williamsburg after spending two successful seasons as the assistant coach at division III program Otterbein and a summer with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters of the Northwoods League.
Ambler helped guide Otterbein to Ohio Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles and back-to-back NCAA regional appearances. He coached the hitters and outfielders, served as the first base coach during games, and scouted and recruited talented players across the country. The Cardinals fashioned a 61-30 record in his two seasons and set single-season records in hits (502), at bats (1,616) and total bases (766). Ambler developed 18 All-OAC players, a 2018 OAC Player of the Year, five All-Midwest Region picks, a NCBWA National Hitter of the Week, three Academic All-Americans, and a ABCA & D3Baseball All-American.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Ambler was an All-Bay Rivers District outfielder and two-time Team Captain for Jamestown High School and a preferred walk-on for the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team from 2012-13. In July 2015, he also competed overseas in Barcelona, Spain as a member of the Sant Boi Falcons. Ambler led the organization to a 2015 Collegiate Baseball League of Europe (CBLE) championship, its second in franchise history.

The Williamsburg product earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University Honors College and was a Presidential Scholar. His academic accolades also include being named the Austin Scholar (top student in the Business Management department), receiving the Outstanding Entrepreneurship Undergraduate Award and membership in Omicron Delta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Societies.
