Seat License FAQ

At the end of 2017, the federal government passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which among its many laws, no longer allows for a tax-deduction for any contribution tied to the purchase of season tickets.

Tribe Club members have the opportunity to support Tribe Athletics in two distinct ways – Season Ticket License Holders (non-tax-deductible) and Student-Athlete Excellence Donations (tax-deductible).

Important Notes
• The amount of a season ticket license purchased for football carries over as a credit for the same amount to men's basketball season tickets.

• Fans receive loyalty points (1.5 per $1 spent) for a seat license purchase. The cost of a seat license is not tax deductible, but a student-athlete excellence donation is 100 percent tax deductible. This is a change due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

• To be eligible for premium parking in the Brooks or Compton Lots, donors must meet three criteria - 1) contribute $1,000 or more to men's basketball; 2) purchase men's basketball season tickets; 3) purchase a seat ticket license. Donors who wish to reserve a specific space can do so at a cost of $100. (Subject to availability)

Season Ticket License Holders:
Fans who purchase non-tax-deductible season ticket licenses for football and/or men's basketball will receive the following benefits:

- Invitation to exclusive season ticket holder events
- Tribe Club monthly e-newsletter
- Weekly Tribe Mail update in season
- Priority seating for football away games and postseason play (if football season tickets are purchased)
- Priority seating for men's basketball postseason play (if men's basketball season tickets are purchased)

A non-tax-deductible seat license will be required for the right to purchase up to 4 (four) season tickets in the following sections at our football games:

Seat Location     Season Ticket License Cost (per seat)
    Courtside     $500
    Parquet     $150
    Box     $150
    Mezzanine     $0

Student–Athlete Excellence Donations:
Tribe supporters who give a philanthropic, tax-deductible Student-Athlete Excellence Donation to the Tribe Club will assist us in providing the best experience for our student-athletes including, but not limited to scholarship support, athletic training, academic resources and development.

Please note that donors are not eligible for premium parking unless they are a season ticket holder. Donors who contribute $1,000 or more to men's basketball who also purchase men's basketball season tickets and a seat ticket license are eligible for premium parking in Brooks or Compton Lots. Donors who wish to reserve a specific space can do so at a cost of $100. (Subject to availability)
