Seat License FAQ
At the end of 2017, the federal government passed the
Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which among its many laws, no longer allows for a tax-deduction for any contribution tied to the purchase of season tickets.
Tribe Club members have the opportunity to support Tribe Athletics in two distinct ways –
Season Ticket License Holders (non-tax-deductible) and
Student-Athlete Excellence Donations (tax-deductible).
Important Notes
• The amount of a season ticket license purchased for football carries over as a credit for the same amount to men's basketball season tickets.
• Fans receive loyalty points (1.5 per $1 spent) for a seat license purchase. The cost of a seat license is not tax deductible, but a student-athlete excellence donation is 100 percent tax deductible. This is a change due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
• To be eligible for premium parking in the Brooks or Compton Lots, donors must meet three criteria - 1) contribute $1,000 or more to men's basketball; 2) purchase men's basketball season tickets; 3) purchase a seat ticket license. Donors who wish to reserve a specific space can do so at a cost of $100.
