Third Positive Test

Table of Contents

  1. The Student-Athlete will meet with the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations to discuss the consequences. The Athletic Department will permanently cancel the eligibility of the Student-Athlete's participation in the institution's athletic program.
  2. The Student-Athlete will not be eligible for renewal of any athletic grant-in-aid. The existing grant-in-aid may be canceled in accordance with the NCAA guidelines. In extraordinary circumstances, as determined at the sole discretion of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics or designee, any Positive Drug Test may result in one or more of the following actions:
    1. Temporary, indefinite, or permanent suspension from further participation in all athletic programs.
    2. Cancelation of all or part of any grant-in-aid provided to the Student-Athlete by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
    3. Extended counseling and rehabilitation to provide and implement an appropriate plan of intervention for the Student-Athlete.
    4. Referral of the matter to the Dean of Student's Office.
