Consequences of Failure to Participate in or Corporate with Testing

Any Student-Athlete who tests positive for a Banned Substance, who refuses to submit or fails to take a required drug test as described in this preceding section, or is involved in any other drug-related offense, including a positive NCAA drug test, shall be subject to the sanctions listed below. Positive Drug Test results or other drug-related offenses are cumulative throughout a Student-Athlete’s career at the College.

Each Student-Athlete will be immediately and confidentially notified by the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations of a Positive Drug Test. The Associate Athletic Director will notify the Athletic Director and respective Head Coach. If the Student-Athlete is a minor, s/he will participate in a conference call or meeting between the Student-Athlete, the athlete’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s), and the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations wherein the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) will be advised of the positive test results. Written notification will also be submitted to the minor Student-Athlete and the parents.
