Both the NCAA Code of Ethics and the William and Mary Honor Code mandate fair play and honesty. Any attempt to cheat or lie whether on or off the playing field will not be tolerated.
Additionally, in the event of an investigation by the institution, the conference, or the NCAA Enforcement Staff, student-athletes shall not knowingly furnish or knowingly influence others to furnish the NCAA or William & Mary athletic department staff members false or misleading information concerning an individual's involvement in or knowledge of matters relevant to a possible violation of an NCAA regulation. Refusing to provide information relevant to an investigation of a possible violation of an NCAA regulation when requested to do so by the NCAA or by a College of William & Mary institutional staff member is also considered unethical conduct and a violation per NCAA bylaws.
